Homegrown burger concept SLAW has teamed up with Korean brand Samyang – the original masters of spice – to launch a limited-edition burger that will be available for only two days. Known as the ‘Slam Yum’, the burger is a deep-fried beauty, succulent chicken, marinated in a secret sauce, wrapped in ramen noodles and coated with a curated blend of spices. To finish, the spiced sensation is smothered in an eyewatering sauce (be warned it’s a creeper), homemade kimchi cushioned between two pillowy potato buns, sprinkled with sesame seeds, and crowned with spring onions and pickled red jalapeño. The Slam Yum is priced at Dhs50 and will be available on Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th July 2021.

One of our favourite Dubai restaurants, LPM Restaurant & Bar, has launched a very special new menu which tells a story. Celebrating the life of influential French artist, writer, and bon-vivant: Jean Cocteau, the new cocktail menu at LPM takes you on, not only a sensory journey, but tells the life story of Jean in an incredibly unique way. Designed by the LPM Global Bar Manager Tibor Krascsenics, the new menu has been one year in development. It consists of four chapters, each highlighting a place that Jean once called home.

A Dubai staple reopens

La Cantine du Faubourg, a staple on the Dubai food scene, has reopened its doors to unveil its new look following an eight-week revamp. The aesthetics may be new but the Parisian-inspired flair remains the same. Experience the delicious signature dishes and ambiance while you dine a la carte, drop-in mid-week for the Business Lunch menus and visit on weekends for the Brunch 105. Kokian, La Cantine’s opening artist, is back for an Artistic Rendez-Vous as well as the acclaimed London Interior Architecture Studio Pirajean Lees, led by Clemence Pirajean and James Michael Lees.

With live entertainment now finally back in Dubai, we didn’t realise how much we missed it. This is why we need to take advantage and support all of the live performers in the emirate. For a soothing sound session head to Peacock Alley at the Waldorf Astoria DIFC. From 5pm to 9pm daily enjoy a drink with friends and revel in the sounds of the electric cello by our resident musical prodigy Christina and unwind to the soothing sounds of the piano by our talented pianist Richie.
