Try out a new luxe restaurant

Two of Dubai’s top restauranteurs have teamed up once again to open another five-star restaruant, this time in The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue. La Maison Ani by Chef Izu Ani and former Emirates Man cover star Evgeny Kuzin will open on Monday, May 1, 2022. Designed as a result of Chef Izu’s wanderlust inspiration, the interiors and food are a stark resemblance to his many years of travel which can easily be reflected in the dishes and décor. Located in the heart of Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue, the venue not only has charming interiors but incredible views of the iconic Dubai Fountains. For a tropical touch, the botanical conservatory is open for visitors to enjoy a Mediterranean meal in a nature-fuelled atmosphere.

La Maison Ani will be located on the Ground Floor of the Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue.

Stylish night out

Clap Dubai (4)

Enjoy a stylish night out with friends in DIFC at one of our favourite restaurants, Clap. This hotspot is the largest rooftop restaurant and bar in the area and boasts incredible Dubai skyline views, including a view of the Burj Khalifa. The interiors of the restaurant feature 2,100 hanging above the restaurant’s reception and bar, which is balanced out with the natural woods and solid stone used for the seating, flooring and kitchen in the venue. The restaurant has three distinct sitting areas including the wrap-around terrace, the bar and the indoor dining area. There’s also the ‘Ongaku’ – meaning ‘music’ in Japanese – and is a separate area for a live DJ. Clap’s menu boasts an impressive 141 dishes, some signatures include the Salmon ‘Clap Cloud’(a salmon tartare with spicy miso and poppadum) yellowtail sashimi with tosazu dressing and wagyu beef and foie gras gyoza.

Escape to the desert

Al Maha Dubai

Escaping to the wonders of the Dubai desert is always a surefire way to recharge your batteries. However, the concept of “switching off” and “escaping” doesn’t always have to mean immersing yourself in an array of spa treatments (although it certainly helps!) and this luxury resort offers the perfect balance between relaxation and adventure. Set amongst a wildlife reserve, Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa is the perfect escape for a weekend away. Al Maha takes the meaning of privacy to a whole new level. The tented Bedouin-style accommodation is completed with ornate doors, antiques and wooden chests. Meanwhile, the majlis-style courtyards, lantern-lit outdoors, leading out to your own private pool, all of which give a warm sensation of luxurious Arabian living.
