Dubai South – billed as ‘the city of you’ – is an upcoming development located next to Al Maktoum International Airport.

At the recent Cityscape construction convention, the development’s first two key real estate projects for its Residential District were unveiled – The Villages and The Pulse.

So just what makes these accommodation hubs so happy? Well, Dubai South have ensured walkability, multiple entry and exit points and ample parking are seen to.

The two districts will also offer up retail, community and sports centres as well as a school, nursery, mosque, petrol station, malls and hotels.

The completion date for The Villages is due in 2018, while one is yet to be set for The Pulse.

Dubai South’s Residential District is spread over 87 million square feet, costing an estimated Dhs25 billion to build.

There are big things in mind for Dubai South’s future. They’re hoping to turn it into the preferred place to live and work, somewhere smart and sustainable – situated directly next to the world’s largest airport in the making, Al Maktoum International.

It’s set to be the site of the World Expo 2020 and the Dubai Airshow.
