With less than three days until the launch of Expo 2020, the Dubai royals have changed their profile photos across their social media channels to mark the launch of the mega-event.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, now has his profile picture on Instagram and Twitter as the Expo 2020 logo with his own portrait in the middle of the emblem.

Also following suit is His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture); Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Women Establishment; and more all changed their profile photos to mark Expo 2020.

Earlier this week, ahead of Expo 2020’s launch, Sheikh Mohammed shared an empowering video message about Dubai and the UAE.

Footage in the video showcases the incredible sights of the new Expo 2020 site, whilst sharing an enlightening message about the prosperity of the country.

“The UAE is called the country of the future,” the Dubai Ruler said. “Every person who lives in this country loves every grain of sand in it – and we adore the UAE.”

His Highness goes on to share just how the nation has gotten to this point – through passion and love for their country.

“The UAE has progressed through our love and collaboration,” he added.

Expo 2020 Dubai will officially start on October 1, 2021 and will be a six-month-long extravaganza ending on March 31, 2022.
