Being the central hub for international expats both living and working in the emirate, Dubai has a global reputation for growing in terms of cultural interaction.
As per the latest Global Power City Index report, Dubai managed to jump from the 19th to 17th place this year for their comprehensive ability to attract creative individuals and institutions from all over the world.
After being ranked across 70 indicators in six categories Dubai is continuing to achieve great heights in various fields and sectors which include economy, research and development, cultural interaction, livability, environment and accessibility.
Speaking on the ranking, Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority said, “This is a celebration of Dubai’s rich cultural heritage and a consolidation of its position as the largest intellectual meeting place for various cultures in the region.”
As Dubai Culture is working to promote its ‘Made in Dubai’ products in the region, the region’s cultural identity is further being strengthened while providing international interaction with other global hubs such as London, New York, Tokyo and Paris which have also ranked amongst the top 20 destinations in the Global Power City Index.
