Layering is key
Trends come and go, but denim will always be a wardrobe staple. With numerous variety on jeans, jackets and shirts to play with, it’s no surprise that the iconic American fashion house Ralph Lauren made it the subject of it’s regional lookbook.
The brand has locally shot some of our favourite Dubai influencers Leena Al Ghouti, Lana JPG and Sarah Hachem on the streets of Dubai while wearing key pieces from the Polo Ralph Lauren denim collection.
Each style star added her own personal twist to the pieces. Leena is a master of layering and in the shots she is seen wearing not one but three denim shirts of different finishes over white pair of jeans. In another, she brings a modern twist to a preppy jumper by pairing it with a denim shirt and pleated skirt.
Lana JPG delivers a Western mood to her looks by opting for bomber jackets and cowboy boots. The denim version gets a feminine spin as she styles it with a elongated skirt, while the suede version is shrugged over a double denim look of jeans and shirt.
Sarah’s oversized denim jacket works as an every day staple, especially when styled with skinny jeans in the same colour hue, with a bright shirt underneath. Her second look is a great example of how denim can also be elegant as she mixes the midi dresses with a shirt and a pair of high heels. This look will effortlessly take you from office to party.
