It’s official: pool days are back in Dubai.
According to Gulf News, new guidelines have been released in a new circular by the Dubai National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority for hotels and this includes establishments being able to reopen their pools.
Along with pools being able to reopen, beaches, restaurants, cafes and gyms can now all reopen with limited capacities in place and social distancing measures too.
For restaurants in hotels, specific guidelines of opening hours between 9am and 6pm are in place. Tables must also be spaced out according to social distancing measures, a maximum of four people per table and all menus must be regularly disinfected.
There must also be rigorous COVID-19 testing for all staff members. Employees need to be tested before returning to work, continuing every fortnight.
Similarly, regular temperature checks on staff members must take place throughout the day and thermal camera systems should be installed.
The new guidelines also state that any hotel rooms used must go through a deep cleaning and sanitisation process and must not be used again by other guests checking in for the following 24 hours.
With all hotels taking the upmost care, there’s some great staycation and daycation deals in Dubai right now. However, if you are particularly keen for pool days, just check prior to booking.
Additionally, don’t forget masks must be worn throughout hotel premises and ensure you’re washing and sanitising your hands regularly.
