For most of us, we started using straighteners as teenagers to achieve poker-straight strands and a frizz-free parting. With a great tool comes great responsibility so we have asked Natalie Kasses, the Creative Director Pastels Salon as the Dyson ambassador, to take us through the best practices.
- Make sure your hair is 100 per cent dry before you use the Dyson Corrale on your hair. You can use the Dyson Supersonic to dry your hair- a hairdryer engineered to protect hair from extreme heat damage.
- Always use a heat protectant before applying any heat on your hair. I recommend using Prolonger from L’Oréal professional is great it protects the hair up to 240 degrees.
- If you have thick curly hair, take smaller sections to achieve better results. If you have fine hair, you can straighten larger sections of your hair at a time.
- Go in on an angle to get to the roots smooth and don’t apply to much pressure on the Dyson Corrale, that is where the flexing place step in for smoothing and gathering the hair.
- Be gentle on your hair. Always start with a lower temperature to see how it works on your hair. If you feel you need more heat you can always adjust it to a temperature that is suitable for your hair.
