As an ode to the cultural development in the UAE, Bulgari will launching its own award in collaboration with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture).

It will the first edition of the ‘Bulgari Contemporary Art Award’, which will be supported by the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

By supporting local talent during Expo 2020 Dubai, which is set to begin in October 2021 up until March 31, 2022, beauty and innovation shall be highlighted through this initiative.

While laying emphasis on the Expo 2020 Dubai theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,’ the opportunity will coincide with the UAE’s golden jubilee celebrations, as the creative sector continues to thrive, with works from young artists who have garnered the vision for promoting fine craftsmanship in the region.

The Group CEO of Bulgari, Jean-Christophe Babin said, “This prestigious award celebrated the engaging dialogue between Rome and Dubai in the name of artistic and cultural heritage.”

Dubai Culture x Bulgari Expo 2020

Comprising of a panel of experts from Dubai Culture and Bulgari, the contestants will be carefully analysed, with the winning work to be exhibited at the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 along with an opportunity to experience Rome, as part of a weekend-long journey through the Maison’s lens.

Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director-General of Dubai Culture said, “Through this partnership, we aim to employ Bulgari’s unbridled creativity and style as a vehicle for vibrant dialogue to encourage and inspire UAE talent to present contemporary artworks inspired by the city’s beauty, culture and innovations.”

The deadline for submission will be mid-December 2021, while the winner shall be announced during early February 2022 and for more information on how to participate in this initiative visit
