“I was influenced by the breathtaking structure, because for me, it is one of the most beautiful casa’s in the world as its just so majestic. And it’s the closing show, the scale had to be grand” shared Michael as we caught up with him backstage after his impressive showcase.

Known for his painstakingly detailed couture with luxe surface ornamentation, Michael introduced a number of structured and well-tailored relaxed fits to give the audience a sneak-peek of his ready-to-wear line within the finale collection. “We’re now venturing into ready-to-wear, so I decided to design a couple of day wear pieces and juxtaposed it in this line,” explained Michael, as he gave us an overview of the presentation.

The silhouettes ranged from mermaid gowns to exaggerated ballroom ensembles with embellishments cascading head-to-to. The colour palette was a symphonic mix of dove grey, black, tiffany blue and silver—blending into a well thought-out presentation. Infusing his inspiration through prints and embroidery, Michael took the architectural wonder and elevated it with his sartorial finesse.
