After a year of virtual runways, Versace’s come back to a live audience created a buzz on social media, as Dua Lipa and Gigi Hadid lead the Spring/Summer 2022 show.
The famous singer opened the show with a sleek black set, pinned together with brightly coloured pins and sky-high heels, making a show-stopping appearance. Gigi Hadid on the other hand was seen two different looks, the first being a snug latex dress with subtle hints of the Versace print.

Others who graced the runway included Irina Shayk, Emily Ratajkowski, Lourdes Leon, Naomi Campbell and Adut Akech.
The show effortlessly transitioned from all black-structured leather looks to an era of Donatella Versace extravagance with bright hues deeply embedded in each look. The brand’s signature pin was creatively embodied into each look, portraying the runway of an era reminiscent of 1980s Versace.

“The foulard is a fundamental component of Versace’s heritage and character,” Donatella said.
The hero of the show was the Italian Maison’s iconic silk foulard pieces, which has been with Versace since its inception. Seen taking multiple forms, designer Donatella Versace seamlessly transformed the scarf into asymmetric hems, jacket sleeves, shirts, trouser flares and knotted headscarves.
Showcasing the house’s unique vibrancy, Dua Lipa ended the show with a hot pink sparkling chainmail dress, with a waist cut out and bustier top for a sparkling, yet ornate finish.

Reconnecting with its roots in a modern light, Versace’s Spring/Summer 2022 show was definitely classed as an ultra-luxe extravagance.
