If there’s one thing we like about Dubai, it’s the artistic license it offers. So while the week-long Chinese celebration known as Golden Week might just have officially ended, the amazing Golden Week menu at Hakkasan – made in celebration of it – is still good to go until October 18.

Quite possibly one of the most underrated restaurants in the city, the signature dishes are what you normally head to Hakkasan for –­ come for the black cod, stay for the cocktails – but the Golden Week menu offers the chance for the kitchen to offer a fun twist on a classic dish.

The official platter features eight dim sum made with premium fillings such as lychee and lobster, abalone shumai with caviar, and Alaskan king crab. Not quite a full meal but the eight small parcels are more filling enough, in fact throw in the Golden macaron for dessert (naturally featuring gold leaf shavings) and the Golden Orchard cocktail that goes with it, and it makes for a golden night out – at least until October 18th!
