With the spirit of Super Bowl still in the air,  the release of DKNY’s S/S14 campaign couldn’t have been better timed. Launched just ahead of Donna Karan’s DKNY A/W14 show, today at New York, the video features three models of the moment, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn and Eliza Cummings, joining forces with superstar rapper A$AP Rocky in New York’s Time Square for a game of American football. The result? Sport luxe meets ‘fashion killas’.

Wearing DKNY emblazoned cropped football shirts, helmets and four-inch trainer boots, the models kick the football around the city to A$AP Rocky’s track, Fashion Killa. Cars zoom past as the skinny jean-clad girls hop on to the bonnets of yellow cabs and pass the ball to one another with attitude – Cara, in particular, seems to relish the role. If any American football agents are watching it seems they’ve got some new talent interested. “If any football team is looking for a new quarterback, they know how to get in touch,” joked the cheeky 21-year-old.

“It was hilarious.  Three British girls trying to play American football in the middle of Times Square in front of Americans,” said 23-year-old Jourdan on what looks like one crazy fun-packed shoot. “I think everyone was laughing at us, not with us, but we didn’t care. We were having too much fun!”

“It was interesting to see our interpretation of how American football is played,” added Cara, who is no stranger to American sports and regularly sported at high profile basketball games with her A-list chums. “I’m happy that there were helmets involved!”

Along with the #DKNYdraft video, the gorgeous girls take centre stage in the S/S14 campaigns, which are set to grace billboards in Dubai next month. Last, but not least, the all-star dazzling and multi-talented cast also includes model-esque professional skateboarder, Dylan Rieder. We want to be part of that style gang!
