His muses include Léa Seydoux in an “Exorcist” T-shirt worn under a shiny cocktail number; Emma Roberts in a scarlet red dress; Sophie Turner dressed in tailored look with some chunky boots; and Deepika Padukone wearing quilted green boots with a sharp grey coat.

Photographed by Collier Schorr, Ghesquière also commissioned book covers and film posters for B movies to complete this ambitious campaign that showcases the key pieces from a diverse collection, which was clearly designed to mix and match in unexpected ways.

“This meeting of periods, stylistic movements and anachronistic combinations brings to life a rich cast of costumes, reads the press release. “In such a ‘wearable library’, each out t writes its own chapter made up of romantic monologues. Peculiar dialogues between stylistic rebellion and fine craftsmanship. An account of sportswear’s encounter with tailoring.”
