This weekend saw the capital host the ‘sport of kings’ as the Coutts Polo took place at Emirates Palace Kempinski Hotel, Abu Dhabi, creating a perfect opportunity for Emirates Woman’s fashion editor, Angela, to get dressed up…

Faberge were this year’s luxurious sponsor, and hosted an exclusive Emerald Tasting brunch on Friday morning. Not even the rain could keep me away from this fabulous event, especially when given the opportunity to peruse some of the stunning emerald jewels from Faberge’s latest collections.

Each guest was given a special Faberge loop and were taught how to examine the beautiful stones. This Emerald Egg Pendant and Emerald Emotion ring took my breath away

It was then time for the actual polo, with the rain, thankfully, holding off for what was an amazing day. Four international teams; Coutts Team Abu Dhabi, Faberge Team London, Maserati Team Milan and Team Buenos Aires faced each other to decide who will take home the trophy.

Team Buenos Aires were the overall winners.
