Facial yoga is a workout that can improve skin tone, elasticity, reduces fine lines and detoxify the skin. Plus, it’s a great way to get the most out of the active ingredients in your skincare.

Isidora Peric, founder of Dubai-based concept Fit Face, discovered face yoga in 2014 after struggling with mental health and suffering from a potentially fatal infection of facial bones. She developed a method which is a combination of face exercises to build and strengthen the muscles as well as face massage for increasing circulation and lifting the skin.

“It is often overlooked that our face has over 50 muscles, which play a key part in our ageing process,” she explains. “Exercising and relaxing those muscles on a daily basis will not only show immediate positive effects but will also allow you to maintain a youthful appearance for many years to come.”

Below, we have asked Isidora to share with us five signature moves and postures that you can easily start implementing in your morning and evening routines.

Activates: Forehead
Results: Prevents forehead wrinkles and alleviates stress and tension.


  • Hold forehead.
  • Move eyes up, down and open wide.

This movement will teach your forehead to remain calm while you express yourself, we advise to this in the morning. Do the action three times and hold for 10 seconds each time.

Activates: Cheeks, neck, muscles around the mouth.
Results: Lifts cheekbones, mouth and tones neck.


  • Make a fish face.
  • Hold fish face and smile.
  • Hold for at least 30 seconds and 
repeat 3 times.

Activates: Cheeks
Results: The perfect addition to the cheek builder, this movement helps to further increase circulation and give you that glow.


  • Place one arm over you head and use your fingertips to massage and lift the cheek area.
  • Keep your shoulders straight.
  • Massage for 10 seconds on each side, do this twice.

Activates: Neck and jaw muscles
Results: Lifts neck and defines jaw line.


  • Put bottom teeth in front of top teeth.
  • Place tongue on the roof of your mouth behind teeth.
  • Look up and press as hard as you can with your tongue.
  • Hold for 30 seconds and do this thrice.

Activates: Eyebrows and forehead
Results: Removes the 11 lines between the eyebrows and instructs the forehead to relax.


  • Place our SCULPTOR (jade gua sha) in between the eyebrows and gently glide towards the hair line.
  • Only apply pressure upwards, do not drag down.
  • If you don’t have our SCULPTOR use your index and middle finger.
