Christian Louboutin Celebrates 10 Years Of The Pigalle This autumn/winter season marks a major milestone in the fashion industry as Christian Louboutin’s beloved Pigalle stiletto celebrates its 10th anniversary.

First created back in 2004, the Pigalle heel – named after one of Christian Louboutin’s favourite neighbourhoods in Paris – has become one of the best selling red soles in Louboutin’s vast portfolio.

To honour the milestone birthday, the designer is inviting fans and followers to upload their own shots of the Pigalle shoes to Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #PigalleIs10 for a chance to be featured on the brand’s social media platforms and at christianlouboutin.com from November 24 to December 1.

The Pigalle is renowned for its dynamic shape, with a sharply pointed toe and strong, sexy heel,  capturing the hearts of shoe lovers around the globe. A modern classic and treasured staple of any woman’s wardrobe, the Pigalle remains a signature style within Louboutin’s seasonal collections.

In the designer’s own words: “It’s not a seasonal shoe, but one that lasts a lifetime. You can wear it in winter or summer; it’s suede or leather, shiny or matte. But to my mind, it reaches its maximum expression in black patent leather, because of the red sole and the precision of the design.”

“We are very happy to celebrate this milestone and embrace our fans across social media who love this iconic shoe,” said Alexis Mourot, COO of Christian Louboutin.
