Sofitel-So-Bangkok---Club-Signature-Reception

Not content on conquering the world of fashion, designer extraordinaire Christian Lacroix is also fast dominating the world of hospitality after successfully completing an installation with Sofitel So Bangkok.

This is the French couturier’s fourth interior design project having already stamped his signature mark on Hotel Le Petit Moulin, Hotel Bellechasse, and Le Notre Dame hotel (all in Paris).

Now bringing his style and flair to Thailand’s Sofitel So Bangkok, monsieur Lacroix has combined his personal take on French elegance, theatrical flamboyance, fantasy and folklore with the symbolism of the traditional five elements of oriental philosophy – water, earth, wood, metal, and fire – that have inspired the hotel’s overall design concept, along with touches of Thai influence.

As well as adding his personal touch to the interiors, Lacroix also designed the staff uniforms. Forget embarrassing bow ties and garish waistcoat combos – here the staff look as if they have stepped straight from the catwalk.

We know where we’re booking for our next Bangkok trip…
