With traditional in-person events making their way back into the fashion industry, Chanel is set to make a huge return to Dubai to present their Cruise 2021/22 collection in Dubai this year.
Having unveiled the collection earlier this year in May at the Carrières de Lumières in the village of Les Baux-de-Provence, in the south of France, the highly anticipated collection plays a revolutionary part in being part of the house’s iconic history.

Inspired by the 1959 film Le Testament d’Orphée, Virginie Viard’s creative game reigns supreme as elements such as graphics, fringes, leather, beads have been fused into the collection in a minimalistic manner.
As an ode to Gabrielle Chanel, monochromatic elements are beautifully incorporated into each design to show a strong contrast between night and day.
By first introducing the concept of Cruise Collections in 1910, Gabrielle Chanel offered her clients clothing and accessories for those who vacationed in warmer climate destinations.
With Lagerfeld having previously presented Chanel’s Cruise 2014/15 collection in Dubai previously, the Maison delivered an absolutely jaw-dropping spectacle that is remembered to date. As ’70s silhouettes and oversized billowy pieces dominated the show, an unexplainable enthusiasm was seen throughout as guests had been flown in from all around the world.
As of yet, the location of the Cruise 2021/22 collection reveal hasn’t been disclosed yet, but it’s all set to take place on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
