Caramel is a contemporary club-style American restaurant and lounge located in the heart of DIFC. Although it’s been around for some time now it still serves as a hot spot for Dubai’s most stylish and the low-key setting means it’s the perfect place to wow your Valentine’s date without being too pretentious.
Décor
The main restaurant is dimly lit with a sleek toffee coloured wood interior and stylish oriental panels opening out onto a large outside terrace where you will find cool white cushioned lounge style seating.
Ambience
A relaxed atmosphere with a background of upbeat R&B classics that you’ll find yourself singing along too. Just be prepared for the smell of cigarette smoke that hits you as you walk through the first part of the restaurant. We suggest reserving an outside table.
Food
For starters we went for the sharing plates choosing four between the two of us, we were surprised at how big the portions were so I would suggest only choosing three. The crunchy tuna rolls were to die for, however our favourite was the lobster and avocado tacos, these were super fresh and full of flavour. The TNT shrimp is one of their signature dishes so, of course, we had to try it, although super tasty the Japanese mayo, which was poured over the parwns, was quite heavy soorder it on the side.
For mains, the steak and frites with the sumptuous peppercorn sauce didn’t disappoint. If you’re looking for something a little lighter we suggest the seabass in the lobster broth, which is light, cooked to perfection and super fresh.
After the large sharing plates we couldn’t possibly fit in a dessert, but we would jump at the chance to go back and try the chocolate lava, which is also on the Valentine’s menu.

Indulgent food in a laid back atmosphere with a sophisticated crowd.
Go For
After work cocktails with the girls or take your loved one for a romantic meal over the weekend. Whatever you decide, the avocado and lobster tacos are a must!
