Supermodel Cara Delevingne is in the festive spirit. Not only did she get the party started with Topshop, but the British model is now giving us exactly what we want for Christmas – a stocking filled with tiny leather treats from Mulberry, each created by the multi-talented star.

Cara Delevingne’s collaboration with Mulberry will also be a festive gift for the brand that hasn’t been having the easiest time of late. After having spent the last six or so years residing at the top of the fashion game, creative director Emma Hill’s departure has left the British heritage brand floundering. Hill understood the potential in taking its English eccentricity and running with it, creating more of a world than a brand. Tea parties, Where The Wild Things Are, giant ice creams and cutesy woodland creatures all made up the wonderfully bonkers aesthetic – but a break from showing at London Fashion Week as well as a badly-timed attempt to move upmarket meant that its shares have actually dropped 25 per cent to a four-year low.

The covetable rucksack

In storied style (past incarnations have included the Lana and the Alexa), Cara’s collection includes a bag named after her; a slightly sporty, slightly preppy creation, blessed with backpack straps and a multitude of pockets. Pretty and practical. Also getting girls in a frenzy this Christmas will be the camo-print make-up pouches, iPad sleeves and phone covers – all of which have ‘supreme stocking filler’ written all over them.

Attacking the festive season from both sides, the brand have also just released an ad titled #WinChristmas. Brilliantly witty and laughing in the face of all the ultra-saccharine fluff we’re faced with every year (Monty the Penguin, we’re looking at you…), this cheeky film gets to the heart of exactly what Christmas is all about… one-upmanship. And presents.
