Cannes 2023 is ongoing in full swing and celebrities from across the globe are putting their best sartorial foot forward on the red carpet.
With only two days in, international stars from the fashion, beauty, music and movie worlds have attended premieres, galas and after-parties on the French Riviera. While some of these influential names are going down the less-is-more route, others are undertaking Cannes 2023 as an experimental ground for their bold fashion choices.
There are also celebrities who are taking this moment to underline their fashionable appearances with a strong message. Elle Fanning’s Alexander McQueen gown by Sarah Burton was a work of art. The actor and the designer worked together to represent feminity and strength through the deconstructed orchid that was embellished painstakingly on Elle’s couture ensemble.
Making a strong case for classics, Gemma Chen and Catherine Zeta-Jones opted for minimal solid-coloured looks by Maison Valentino and Louis Vuitton. Celebrating maximalism and enjoying fashion to the fullest, Viola Davis and Naomi Campbell were seen strutting down the red carpet in silhouettes adorned with feathers and sequins by Valentino and Celine.
