Want to be the next Chiara Ferragni or Karen Wazen? The American University in Dubai (AUD) is launching Dubai’s first accredited diploma programme for social media influencers.

Kicking off in September, 100 active and aspiring influencers in UAE will learn how to harness the power of the digital space across six courses.

“The programme was developed by an elite group of university professors with different specialisations in media, strategic communications, journalism and media innovation. The Programme will cover all aspects of social media through six courses,” said Ali Jaber, Dean of the Mohammed bin Rashid School for Communication.

At the end, they will come away with essential creative and media strategy skills to take their influence global.

“The launch of the first academic programme of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for social media influencers will have a direct positive impact on the media content being produced on social media platforms across the region,” added Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, President of the Dubai Press Club.
