On May 16, 2023, Bulgari unveiled Mediterranea — its new High Jewelry line in Venice, the crossroads of Mediterranean influences.
Raising the opulence of the event, Bulgari presented a precious assortment of over 400 one-of-a-kind High Jewelry creations. Hosted at the Palazzo Ducale, one of Venice’s most recognizable symbols—the location has a special connection with the brand.
In 2008, Bulgari contributed to the preserve by financing the restoration of the Scala D’oro.
Brand Ambassadors including Lisa of Blackpink, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and Priyanka Chopra Jonas arrived at the event adorning prestigious Bulgari pieces.
Marking the momentous occasion, for the first time ever, Palazzo Ducale’s loggia hosted an exclusive jewellery show developed under the creative direction of a fashion icon, Carine Roitfeld.
Models, including supermodel Stella Maxwell, Blesnia Minher and Eva Herzigova, who closed the show, walked on a precious mosaic catwalk developed specifically for the event by Orsoni1888 that was inspired by the brand’s High Jewelry collection. The soundtrack was specially created by Italian orchestra director Beatrice Venezi, a longtime friend of the jewellery house.
Crafting a beautiful evening of fashion, glamour and breathtaking architecture, Bulgari brightened Venice on a rather gloomy evening. The spectacular show was followed by an exclusive gala dinner at Palazzo Ducale’s Sala dello Scrutinio, where tables were decorated with textiles produced for the occasion by Rubelli.
Michelin-starred chef Massimiliano Alajmo, at the helm of the legendary Le Calandre restaurant, offered the guests a menu designed exclusively for the event.
Ending the night on a musical note, awarded singer Norah Jones performed a range of her hits, including “Don’t Know Why”, “Come Away with Me” and “Sunrise”.
