British royalty has officially touched down in Dubai.
Prince William arrived in the emirate on Wednesday night on his first-ever official trip to the UAE.
The Duke of Cambridge is set to make an appearance at Expo 2020 at the UK Pavilion.
“Excited to be arriving in Dubai to celebrate the UK at Dubai Expo and discuss the vital issue of working together with the UAE and international partners to achieve a more sustainable world with The Earthshot Prize and United for Wildlife,” he said on Twitter, posting a photo of the Dubai skyline from his flight.

At the Expo 2020 site, the prince will also meet with Commonwealth representatives and sportspeople and is set to take part in the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay. The Queen’s Baton will be visiting the different Commonwealth Pavilions at Expo 2020.
As part of his itinerary, Prince William is also set to meet the Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The trip marks Prince William’s first-ever to the UAE. The Queen, Prince Charles, Princess Diana and Prince Harry have all previously visited the UAE.
