After a hard week working at Emirates Woman we love nothing more than a lazy weekend of catching up with friends over breakfast, and we’ve discovered the perfect place to do just that.
Urban Bistro is situated in the hub of Media City right on the lake, but with ducks waddling past and the terrace full of sunlight we couldn’t have asked for a more chilled out ambience.
Oooh what to order?
Now this is a menu that excites our healthy taste buds, from the free range eggs to sustainable and organic ingredients there’s nothing on there to resist. And it gets even better for anyone avoiding gluten, as there are many options, from gluten-free bread to porridge.
How do you like your eggs in the morning?
My brunch date and I saved on food envy and both opted for the Traditional full breakfast, consisting of; any style eggs, baked vine tomatoes, mushrooms, avocado, spinach and sweet potato rosti. Complimented with organic coffee and a morning Mojito (alcohol-free of course).
It was a totally scrumptious power breakfast perfect for that post weekend workout. Our only grizzle, the vine tomatoes were not baked as stated – but seriously that was the only downside.
One cannot turn down a Beetroot Brownie & Lemon Crème Brûlée
After lots of time spent gossiping it was way past breakfast time and was teetering on lunch o’clock, offering us the perfect excuse to indulge in Urban Bistro’s sweet treats.
After few bites of the dense chocolate beetroot brownie and the fresh Crème brûlée and we reluctantly held our hands up and admitted defeat. Saying that, we made sure to take our leftovers home for afternoon tea.

All in all, Urban Bistro is a low-key top-notch eatery, chilled on the weekends and we imagine, bustling come weekdays.
