The institution that is Bloomingdale’s heralded the new season last night at its autumn winter 2014 fashion show at The World Trade Centre. The collections reflected the aptly dramatic setting, with fashion’s finest being sent out onto the catwalk – patchworked dresses from 3.1 Phillip Lim, sporty shifts from Alexander Wang and quilted backpacks from Stella McCartney.
The great and good of Dubai’s style world rubbed shoulders after the catwalk show, heading to the adjacent room for a gregarious after party where the DJ blasted Nico & Vinz’s Am I Wrong, and stylish staff served mini beef wellingtons and mocktails to the glittering crowd. A fine way to celebrate autumn winter 2014.
Here are our favourite trends that showcased at the Bloomingdale’s runway, from fluffy textures to vibrant prints and embellished gowns.
