Supporting African designers

Last Wednesday, Beyoncé and Jay-Z were spotted at UTA Artist Space supporting the opening of the Dreamweavers exhibition. Queen Bey stunned in a suit from an emerging African designer, she was also sporting a bag from Dubai-based label L’afshar.

The pop diva is always seen taking fashion risks, and wearing pieces from up-and-coming designers from all around the world. This occasion was no different as the 37-year-old singer wore an orange and brown checkered suit and matching wide-rimmed hat from Etsy designer EnaGancio. Beyoncé took to Instagram to share pictures from her colour popping suit with her 124 million followers.

EnaGanico who designs “African print inspired clothing for modern elegant women who are a shade sophisticated,” took to Instagram to share their excitement saying, “When music & fashion meets, the offspring is LOVE. What a valentine gift !!!Thanks Queen B @beyonce. #styledbyzerina @zerinaakers nothing beats the Golden stylist.”

Beyoncé took her head-turning ensemble to another level with an IDA bag in purple from Dubai-based label L’afshar. Other celebrities spotted with that same bag include The OC actress Rachel Bilson, Kendal Jenner, and Laura Dern. You can get the IDA bag from Net-a-porter for AED 2671.51.

The fashion-forward look was styled by  Zerina Akers, who also has previously worked with the singer on her Lemonade visual album back in 2016. She also shared photos from the look on her Instagram account, which she captioned, “African designers on and off the continent. @enagancio”
