“She’s everything, he’s just Ken,” — looking at Margot Robbie as Barbie, who could possibly disagree?
Ahead of the much-awaited release of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, the Australian actor has been serving some serious real-life Barbie looks. From vintage Versace and Chanel to Moschino and custom-made Herve Leger — Margot’s real-life impersonation of the iconic doll is unmatched.
Last night, the Babylon actor turned thirty three in a special ‘Barbie’ themed party (obviously) and looked spectacular in a skirt suit inspired by the doll’s look in 1985.
Her stylist Andrew Mukamal is not here to play. Each of the looks curated for the actor beholds influence and inspiration from the original doll — which could easily tilt more towards OTT costumes, but Andrew’s nuanced take on it makes it effortlessly chic.
Think pink but with lots of variations. Textures, patterns and prints in co-ord sets, pantsuits, skirt suits, dresses and even athleisure. The complementing accessories are just the icing on the cake.
In case you missed it, here’s the best of Margot Robbie’s promotional looks for the movie.
