This month welcomes an exciting initiative from the maestros of brow-perfection themselves – Benefit Cosmetics.
Beauty has never felt so good, thanks to Benefit Cosmetics donating every single Dirham earned by Benefit’s Brow Bar to charity. The global philanthropy project, Bold is Beautiful, aims to empower women and has partnered with the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, supporting women and girls who have been subject to domestic violence in the UAE.
We know you covet that Cara Delevingne-inspired power-brow, so why not sharpen your arches while giving back? It’s a win-win situation… not that you needed another excuse to get waxing those bothersome brow hairs!
The programme launched last May in the US, UK, France and Australia, earning Dhs10.7 million. This year, the brains behind the brow-perfecting scheme, CEO of Benefit Cosmetics Jean Andre Rougeot, is aiming to raise a mind-blowing Dhs14.7 million. With five more countries – Spain, Singapore, Canada, Ireland and the United Arab Emirates – joining the brilliant campaign.
“Our goal in 2016 is to raise US$4 million. We strongly believe that beyond looking good and feeling good is doing good, and with the right tools and resources a girl can unlock her superpowers and achieve her fullest potential. Here’s to raising brows and changing lives,” said Rougeot.
With 11 charities taking part – and over 170,000 brows being waxed – in the hair-raising initiative last year, we can only expect 2016 to have a staggering impact on helping women around the world.
Jean Rougeot explained: “We have always believed that beauty runs deeper than the surface and our employees and our customers truly embraced our feel-good philosophy and were eager and excited to get involved and give back.”
This May, head down to your nearest Benefit Brow Bar in Sephora Dubai Mall, Sephora City Walk, Sephora Mall of the Emirates, Sephora Mirdiff City Centre, Sephora Marina Mall, Sephora Festival City Mall or Sephora JBR.
