Bella Hadid and ex-boyfriend The Weeknd have reportedly reconnected and are on speaking terms nine months after splitting.

According to Us Weekly, the former couple “have been in touch recently”, an alleged source claimed.

Hadid and the Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – broke up last year in August, after having dated for four years on and off.

A couple of months ago, another insider told the publication there was “always a possibility that they will get back together down the line”.

However, while the 23-year-old still had “feelings” for her ex, she was focussing on her career.

The pair began dating in 2015 after meeting when the 30-year-old musician recruited Hadid to be on the artwork for his Beauty Behind Madness album. “My motive was literally to work with her,” he told Rolling Stone in a past interview.

The pair eventually split in November 2016, with The Weeknd moving on with Selena Gomez at the beginning of 2017. However, they split in September 2017 and Hadid and The Weekend eventually reunited in May 2018, only to break up again in August 2019.

Earlier this year, the artist released his fourth album entitled After Hours, which left many fans to believe it was inspired by Hadid.

Who knows what the next chapter has in store for this A-list pair…
