Bella Hadid has always admired her elder sister Gigi Hadid.
Having taken the fashion world by storm, Gigi certainly has a lot of achievements under her belt to be proud of, but for Bella, it’s been watching her big sister on her journey into motherhood that has made her the proudest.
Gigi became a mother for the first time last year after welcoming her daughter, Khai, with her boyfriend Zayn Malik.
Sharing a series of photos on Instagram from baby Khai’s first birthday last month, Bella posted a sweet message to Gigi about what an incredible mum she has become.
“Watching my sister be the greatest mother to the most magical child is the biggest joy in my life,” Bella said in the caption.
In the photos, Bella is seen with her sister and baby Khai, as well as their mother, Yolanda Hadid, their father Mohamed Hadid and other friends and family.
Bella’s link to baby Khai’s name
Khai’s name has a link to her supermodel aunt Bella.
The 24-year-old’s full name is ‘Isabella Khair Hadid’, meaning her middle name is very similar to her niece’s.
Both Khai and Khair appear to link back to their Palestinian heritage as Mohamed Hadid’s mother was called Khairiah.
The property tycoon has previously claimed his late mother descended from royalty. “Her great grandfather was the Prince of Nazareth – King of Galilee in the 18th century Daher Al-Omer The Ruler,” he previously said.
