With the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan marks Eid Al Fitr, which is a time of celebration for many families around the world, and is also about giving back.
To mark the end of Ramadan, Bella Hadid, who is part Palestinian through her father’s heritage, shared a heartwarming and also important message on Instagram.
Reflecting upon how she fasted with her father and her Teta (grandmother) when she was younger, the model shared how her thoughts were “with families and children around the world without a safe place to call home”.
“It makes my heart break thinking about the children and families that are separated and unable to unite during this time,” she admitted. “I wish there was a way that I could take the pain away or more that I could do…”
In light of those going through difficulties, the 23-year-old announced she would be supporting three different charities to help refugees, children, displaced families and more in the areas of Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and other regions.
The three organisations Hadid is supporting are: Preemptive Love, UNRWA USA and the Middle East Children’s Alliance.
Hadid encouraged her fans to join her in supporting them, if not monetarily by spreading the word.
“We can and will be the voice for the ones who cannot be heard,” she poignantly said.
