Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer, Riccardo Tisci, continues to define new codes for the house with Spring/Summer 2020 campaign, starring a dazzling cast of models, including sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid as well as Kendall Jenner.
Captured by celebrated photography duo Inez and Vinoodh, the energetic shoot perfectly captures the elegance and edginess of the British brand. Benji Arvay, He Cong, Freja Beha Erichsen, Nozomu Ito, Reece Nelson, Tosin Olajire, Rianne van Rompaey and Mona Tougaard also make an appearance.
“I have been working for a few seasons to define a new identity and visual language for this house,” explains Tisci. “This campaign feels like the beginning and I wanted to celebrate the men and women who represent Burberry – some who have been a long-standing part of my career and others who have started this Burberry journey with me. Together they capture the sophistication and attitude at the heart of the house today.”
This season there is a strong focus on tailoring, evening wear and trench coats – who can resist a classic Burberry trench? Bella reconfirms that oversize hats are definitely in this season, and we can’t help but fall in love with the perfectly romantic feathered dresses worn by Gigi and Kendall. Among the tailoring and chic dresses are also street style references, such as leather bombers featuring the Burberry logo and a mesh lined jacket.
As for accessories, you can expect The TB Bag and Lola – which are inspired by the house’s founder Thomas Burberry, as well as the Pocket Bag.
The SS20 collection will be available in Burberry stores now.
