We all appreciate the transformative powers of make-up, particularly after a night when you didn’t get your full eight hours.
However it’s clear we need to learn a few new tricks after watching a video shared by Huda Beauty.
In an amazing before-and-after beauty tutorial, make-up artist Maya Mansour (aka Instagram’s Maya Beaute) uses precise techniques to give her model flawless skin, super-defined cheekbones and jawline, and a smoky eye that Kim Kardashian would be happy to sport.
The clip has already racked up more than 1.1 million views in just one day.

The “full cover acne make-up mini tutorial” uses Anastasia Beverly Hills cream concealers to cover blemishes (and good news, you can find them at Sephora).
US-based Mansour then uses M.A.C Studio Fix Foundation, and Anastasia Beverly Hills cream and powder contours to create the ultimate Instagram base. Eyeliner comes courtesy of Make Up For Ever, while the flutter of false lashes are by Huda Beauty’s own line.
We didn’t realise until watching this that dotting on concealer before applying foundation was a technique, but it certainly gives this model a creamy base without looking at all cakey.
Mansour also later posted another blemish-covering tutorial (though it looks more like sorcery) which goes into a little more detail about hiding acne and scarring. You’ll need some crazy coloured green and orange concealers, but we’d happy splash out when a big breakout erupts.
