The 2016 pageant winner Pia Wurtzbach took her final walk as Miss Universe in a gown by Michael Cinco.
It’s pretty hard to steal the limelight from a beauty queen, but this Dubai-based designer certainly caught our attention at the Miss Universe final.
Michael Cinco dressed outgoing winner Pia Wurtzbach in a resplendent jewel-toned gown for her final walk.

The event, which was held in Manila on Sunday night, gave the Filipina 2016 winner another chance to dazzle, as her win was slightly overshadowed by a now infamous mishap.
Host Steve Harvey incorrectly announced Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, as last year’s Miss Universe, before having to amend his error live on TV.

“She didn’t really get a chance to enjoy her walk when she was crowned in 2015 due to the pandemonium,” said the designer, who’s originally from the Philippines.

The now-former Miss Universe isn’t the only big name the designer has dressed, however.
Cinco, who set up his couture label in 2003, has kitted out stars including Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga and country singer Carrie Underwood, to name just a few.
Cinco is also known to create some of the most fairytale-esque bridal gowns (such as this off-the-charts incredible dress for one lucky Dubai woman)…
