The new iPhone 7 is set for worldwide release this weekend. Yes, if you’re an avid gadget or Apple fan you will most likely already be aware of this, but did you know that people in Dubai can be among the first to get their hands on the new mobile?
That’s right, on Saturday, September 17 at 8am, the Apple store in Mall of the Emirates will start selling the highly anticipated iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2.
This is the first year that the UAE will launch iPhone at the Apple store Mall of Emirates at the same time as the rest of the world.

Usually the UAE has had to wait a week or so for the products to launch first in the US and UK, but not any more.
Unfortunately those of you in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait will have to wait until September 23 to get their hands on the goods.
How is iPhone7 different from the iPhone 6
The biggest difference is the removal of the headphone jack, as part of Apple’s big move to encourage users to use wireless headphones – aka buy more of their products. Though the iPhone 7 will come with a Lightning adapter.

The display and external design for the iPhone 7 and 6s are pretty much the same, but the 7 weighs 5g less.
One of the major pluses for the new edition is the fact that it is now water resistant, allowing the phone to survive being submerged in water for 30 minutes. Integrated speakers in the earpiece also offers loud external audio for the first time.
Another plus is that the iPhone 7 performance speed has also had a boost. There’s also been lots of technical changes to the camera, we won’t bore you with all the figures, but basically it will take better photos and the colour is way more advanced.
Apple Watch Series 2
How is Apple Watch Series 2 different from the Apple Watch Series 1
The Apple Watch Series 2 has a new and faster processor, a brighter display, A built-in GPS – perfect when lost on Dubai’s roads – and it’s waterproof.
The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7+ will be available in silver, gold, rose gold and the new black finish in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models starting at Dhs2,599.
The Apple Watch Series 2 will be available in gold, rose gold, silver or space black stainless steel cases paired with a wide variety of bands starting at Dhs1,499.
