With the highly anticipated venue where visitors can strike a pose and rub shoulders with the stars, Madame Tussauds is all set to make its mark in Dubai.
Now the new venue has unveiled its first waxwork, which is of Emirati singer Balqees Fathi.
Known for her impactful performances in the entertainment industry, Balqees’ commitment to promoting gender equality and supporting women lies at the forefront of her success, giving her the much-deserved attention from her fans.
Being at the helm in the Arab music industry, Balqees unveiled her figure at the new entertainment venue in an opulent gown with a beaming smile.
At the unveiling Balqees herself said, “I feel privileged to be the first Arab artist to stand side by side my wax figure at the iconic Madame Tussauds – Dubai. I am overwhelmed with the incredible likeness that this wax figure holds to my physical appearance and to the impeccable attention to detail that captures my personality.”

Standing side-by-side with her wax figure, it’s difficult to spot the difference between the two.
Created with immaculate attention to detail, experts had to take over 500 measurements in order to get the exact specifics for the wax figure. All in all, it took them three months to create the final waxwork.
Sanaz Kollsrud, the General Manager of Madame Tussauds said, “We are thrilled to reveal our first side-by-side and offer a glimpse into the magic that is Madame Tussauds. Balqees is a music icon from the region, and we can’t wait for our guests to meet her and feel the fame when they step into the attraction when it opens this year.”
Guests can take snaps with this legendary musical icon, before then heading to the jewel of the room, which is an interactive dance floor, where they can display their best dance moves with the DJ spinning to some of the latest tracks.
This unique experience is located at the popular island destination, Bluewaters at Ceasars Palace Dubai and for more information visit madametussauds.com
