Move over Triple S
Our love for the Balenciaga Triple S will not waver, but the brand unveiled a new style during the SS20 show and we are hooked.
The Tyrex sneakers blend together elements from classic Balenciaga office shoes, modern high tech sportswear, and human anatomy. How intriguing does that sound?
Not only does this new shape tick off our obsession with square-toe silhouettes, but they also come in four striking colours and feature the Tyrex logo across the toe. The upper part of the shoe is leather-free, made with a system of highly resistant materials while the outsole forms a shock- absorbing infinity symbol-like shape.
Once again Balenciaga proves that unconventional shapes and exaggerated detail make for one great pair of statement sneakers, and you can bag yourself a pair in January. Move fast as the will only be available in limited quantities.
For now, you can check out new collection created in support of World Food Programme (WFP). The edit includes more new designs on popular Balenciaga items like socks, hats, scarves, pants, raincoats, blouses, hoodies, and unisex bags, available in multiple colours. Some feature the official WFP logo, and others feature a signature repeating slanted pattern comprised of Balenciaga and WFP logos.
Balenciaga is doubling the amount of proceeds from each product designated as a WFP donation to 20 percent – now this is conscious shopping.
