In the aim to protect this beautiful planet, her namesake brand uses reusable, low-impact materials and fabrics. Her debut collection in 2017 was an ode to the land and sea that emerge in the aftermath of land reclamation – as well as the dialogue we have with receding shorelines, shrinking forests and recycling signs.

Another move towards sustainability is producing pieces in limited quantities. In addition, Rawan Maki uses fabrics that are either GOTS certified, farmed organically, made with low impact dyes, and consume low amounts of energy during their production process. Some of the materials have recycled elements (such as recycled polyester). During the production process, the reduction of waste is made a priority by using all components of sourced fabrics.

A pro at mixing fabric and manipulating shapes, her pieces have a neutral earthy feel, yet also offer elements of tailoring and bright party wear.
