Q. WHAT QUESTIONS SHOULD I ASK WHEN INTERVIEWING WOULD-BE NANNIES FOR MY LITTLE DAUGHTER?
A nanny should be enthusiastic, warm, knowledgeable about child development, professional, passionate and show a general love and care for children. Ask them what they would do to encourage your child’s development and how would they stimulate her everyday needs. What are their thoughts on discipline, healthy eating, activities, what experience do they have with children of your child’s age. Try to ask questions that require them to tell you a scenario they’ve experienced rather than answer with a simple yes or no.Ask what they like about being a nanny and why they chose to work with children? Remember you also have to work with this person on a daily basis.
