Get to know them at Fashion Forward
One of the biggest regional fashion events is back on October 30 in the Dubai Design District, hosting international and regional designers as well as talks and insider events.
Offering emerging brands a platform to connect to local and global shoppers, the latest edition of Fashion Forward promises to push the boundaries of how we consume fashion from the runway. Taking a cue from other global brands who have embraced the ‘shop now’ formula, the revamped event will see designers showcasing collections that will be available for purchase via a digital and physical presence.
Are you ready to meet some of the designers making their debut at Fashion Forward 2019?
Maison Farah Wali
Dubbing itself a “street couture” brand, Egyptian designer Farah Wali has won several awards for her vision of wearable art. Her design aesthetic is derived from a mix between experimental, modern and chic. As well as personalisation and customisation at it’s core, sustainability is another key focus for the label as they use recycled fabric and sustainable ink throughout.
HASS IDRISS
Merging his love of fine art and fashion, Beirut based couture designer Hass Idriss studied at the prestigious Central Saint Martins before gaining further experience at LaChapelle and Alexander McQueen. He uses traditional skills (with the help of local artisans) and modern technologies to design pieces that celebrate the female silhouette.
