If looks could kill…
If there is one thing that Angelina Jolie has mastered over the years, it is the high-leg slit. After all, who can forget the award-winning actress’ Versace number from the 2012 Academy awards. Proving that she can still rock the high-slit trend, the 44-year-old stunned at Disney’s D23 Expo over the weekend.
It is shaping up to be a great year for the Maleficent actress who is making a comeback with Disney. Angelina attended the entertainment giants expo to promote her upcoming movie, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the sequel to her 2014 hit. Not only that, but she was also officially unveiled as part of the ensemble cast for Marvel’s The Eternals. As usual, the Oscar-winning actress looked completely flawless at the event.
Angelina took to the stage in another black Versace number – clearly the winning combo for the actress. She rocked a knee length black dress from the Italian brand, which featured see-through long sleeves and an intense thigh-high slit. She paired it with pointy black pumps and sparkling diamond ear crawlers from Beirut-based jewellery brand, Yvan Tufenkjian.

Not only is the actress returning as Maleficent, she has also become part of the most successful film franchise – The Marvel Cinematic Universe. The action star will play the role of Thena from The Eternals. In an interview with IGN, Angelina revealed why she said yes to this role, calling it a love letter to Earth. “When they called me in for this, I’m a big fan of the director [Chloé Zhao], and I think she’s going to make a very special film. [It’s] just a really a love letter to Earth and very character-based, but also very, very big and we’re going to expand a long period of time and try different things. I love the storytelling, and I happen to love Thena. She’s very aggressive and I like her and I’m ready for that now.”
The movie, slated for a 2020 release is expected to pack a punch with it’s star-studded cast. Other than Angelina, the film will feature: Kit Harington, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Barry Keoghan, Brian Tyree Henry, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Don Lee and Lia McHugh.
