We find out why
Jungle-theme restaurant Amazonico opened in DIFC a little over a week ago, and it seems like many of the movers and shakers in the city have already checked out it’s Instagrammable interiors and Latin American cuisine.

Naturally, we were curious to see what all the fuss was about and this is what we thought.
Decor
If you’re going to commit to a theme, you better give it 100 percent. This is not to say that all the foliage looks naff, it actually is placed beautifully across the three floors, making you feel like you’re submerged in an elegant jungle. From velvet sofa’s printed lamp shades and black and white tiling, the interiors are wild yet refined, and this is before we talk about the impressive view from the third-floor bar and terrace.

Service
Smooth, attentive and informative. The staff really know the menu and are quick to recommend some of their best dishes, some of which we never would’ve thought to try and were pleasantly surprised by the choice.

Food
Drawing inspiration from Latin American culture, Amazonico really focused on bold and vibrant flavours – perfectly matching the decor. We loved the zesty ceviche’s, hot bowl of mussels and crunchy vegetables in a scrumptious sauce, wild rice with duck, baby chicken and an indulgent chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream.

A Must
If you only have time to do one thing, we suggest grabbing a drink on the third-floor terrace overlooking Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The space opens at 5pm, just in time for end of works tipple.
Ready to dine on the wild side?
