Taking notes…

One of our style icons here at Emirates Woman is the effortlessly chic, Amal Clooney. Whether she is dressing up for the United Nations or for date night with George Clooney, the human rights lawyer’s style is always on point – a mix of elegance and boldness. In her latest appearance, the working mom of twins, shows us how to rock a slip skirt to the office.

Are you a working woman? Then you should be taking notes, as Amal schools us in Fall office style. Nothing screams October like burnt orange, and on Monday, the lawyer stepped out in New York City in this season’s staple colour. She opted for a flutter-sleeve blouse, which she paired with high-waisted slip skirt – so professional.

Keeping up with the colour palette, Amal completed her look with office appropriate accessories. The lawyer had a neutral camel coloured trench coat slung over her arm, while she held onto a slouchy suede tote bag from Fendi. This was paired with ‘Fetto’ slingback pumps from Jimmy Choo.

There is nothing that screams BOSS like power dressing, and this has become Amal’s strong-suit. But the human rights lawyer is not the only one rocking this trend, just look at Gigi Hadid and Priyanka Chopra. Earlier this month, the supermodel was spotted sporting a playful and bold take on the classic suit. Proving that suits are no longer just formal-wear, you can have fun with it.

Meanwhile, Priyanka who was recently on a busy tour, promoting her newest project, The Sky is Pink, schooled us on all the different ways to rock a power suit. From bright orange pyjama suits to a full on floral look, the Bollywood beauty proved that suits could be fun!
