Doha has a way of turning moments into movements, and the 7th edition of Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) was exactly that, a cultural crescendo that reaffirmed the Middle East as one of fashion’s most powerful creative engines.

Where was it held?

Held at the National Museum of Qatar, the annual awards ceremony once again proved that the region isn’t merely participating in the global style dialogue; it’s shaping the direction it takes next.

Who all attended?

Under the visionary leadership of Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani, and co-founder Tania Fares, this year’s event blended glamour with purpose. International icons including Gisele Bündchen, Lindsay Lohan, and Emma Roberts walked the Doha carpet, cementing FTA’s status as a global fixture, but the spotlight was firmly on the rising designers rewriting the future of fashion across the MENA region.

The winners…

The 2025 winners reflect a region rich with perspective and originality. Ziyad Albuainain took home the Eveningwear award for his sculptural silhouettes, Youssef Drissi claimed Ready-to-Wear for his contemporary Moroccan codes, while Farah Radwan won in Jewellery with pieces that balance craftsmanship and modernity. Alaa Alaradi was named Debut Talent, signalling a new generation ready to take its place on the international stage. Winners will receive funding, mentorship, and key retail partnerships.

This edition also highlighted the increasingly cross-cultural nature of fashion in the region. With India as the guest country, designer Kartik Kumra earned the special accolade for his rich, textile-driven menswear. Meanwhile, the Fashion Tech award went to Bahraini sisters Fatema and Dalal Alkhaja, underscoring FTA’s commitment to championing innovation alongside tradition.

The night also honoured icons. Miuccia Prada received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Zuhair Murad, one of the region’s most influential creators of our time.

What emerged from FTA 2025 was a clear message: the Arab world is no longer a rising market, it’s a creative powerhouse defining what modern luxury looks and feels like. From Doha to the world, the future of fashion is being designed right here.
