A whole new world…

One of our favourite Disney films, Aladdin is set to make its live remake debut later this month. As the film’s cast gear up for its premiere, they have attended red-carpet events in France, England, Germany and now Jordan.

The film’s star-studded cast, which includes Egyptian fresh-face Mena Massoud, Will Smith, Guy Ritchie and Naomi Scott touched down in Amman, Jordan to promote their new film. The reason why the upcoming movie’s cast stopped by Levantine country is because they partially shot in Jordan’s Wadi Rum last year. In light of their visit, Will took to Instagram to share some snaps of his trip to the Kingdom. He wrote: “Ramadan Mubarak to all! Thank you to the Royal Family and the People of Jordan for allowing our #Aladdin family to film in your Gorgeous country! ‏السلام عليكم ”

Their stop in Jordan included a press conference and a red-carpet appearance. At the conference, Will revealed that he took on the iconic role of Genie for his son Jaden; however, his daughter Willow had to sign off first. The 50-year-old actor also said that working on Aladdin made his Bollywood dreams come true.

The cast also shared images from the red-carpet, with Mena posting pictures with his co-star and on-screen love interest Naomi. The Aladdin actor wore a purple Prada suit, while the Jasmine actress wore a deep-red shimmering gown from Armani. The Egyptian-Canadian actor posted on Instagram thanking Jordan for their hospitality: “To the great People of Jordan and the Royal Family – your generosity and beauty will forever be remembered by all of us in #Aladdin. Shokran Kol sana wintoo taya2bean.”
