Another day, another insight into yet another project in Dubai, this time it’s Al Habtoor City with details on its development finally revealed.

Located on the banks of the Dubai Water Canal, Al Habtoor City will be the new landmark lifestyle destination to open on Sheikh Zayed Road.

The new, soon-to-open development is set to be a vibrant and cosmopolitan leisure “metropolis” for Dubai residents and visitors alike.

“Designed to offer the ultimate destination for elegant living, shopping, dining and entertainment, Al Habtoor City will be a celebration of luxury consumption,” revealed a spokesperson from the ambitious project. “In total, this luxury lifestyle destination spans over 10 million square feet and will feature over 40 restaurants and leisure venues upon completion, representing the dawn of a new era of dining and entertainment enjoyment, right in the heart of Dubai.”

The vast city, will be a city within a city (Dubai) and at its centre will be The Atrium, which will be the entertainment and leisure hub with seven distinct restaurants and bars over five levels.

Reflecting the region’s exciting diversity, the outlets will offer a cross section of global and home-grown concepts, cuisines and cultures.

The venues due to open over the course of the summer include Blind Dragon Dubai(a high-class Asian cocktail lounge with private karaoke suites from West Hollywood), ZOCO (a soulful Mexican come Latin-American restaurant and lounge), and The Rose & Crown (a traditional English Pub, with further details to be released shortly).

As well as these new additions, Al Habtoor City will also include the recently opened The St. Regis Dubai as well as the soon-to-launch and much-anticipated W Dubai and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City. There will also be the three luxury residential towers Noura, Amna and Meera comprising of deluxe apartments, lofts and penthouses, ranging from one to seven bedrooms.
