A record-breaking way of working out is heading to the capital…

If you’re a lover of extreme sports, you’re in luck.

CLYMB, a Dhs367 million indoor attraction, is set to open on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island by 2018.

Inside CLYMB you’ll find the world’s widest flight chamber as well as the world’s tallest indoor climbing wall.

HOW BIG ARE WE TALKING?

The flight chamber will span a width of 9.75 metres – the widest in the world.

For those who don’t know what a flight chamber is, it’s one of those wind tunnels that allow you to experience skydiving without actually having to jump out of a plane.

The world’s tallest indoor climbing wall will stretch to a height of 43 metres, offering up climbs for beginners, intermediates and experts over four walls.

However, only those tackling the expert-level wall will be able to reach the full 43 metres.

If you’re not in the mood for flying or climbing, you can mill around CLYMB’s array of retailers, food and beverage outlets and party spaces.

Yas Mall is linked to CLYMB, so once you’ve had your fill of the extreme, you can head over to the shops.
