Beach season has started to pick up again now that the heat is finally dying down – kind of. For many, it’s an exciting time to hit the water, for some it’s a dreaded period of trying to find the most flattering swimwear to make you feel and look good during the sunshine hours.
Like for you, there is an Aussie in town who pretty much grew up on the beach and has brought her creative eye to Dubai and launched you new go-to beach-ready brand Caha Capo.
Donna Benton was inspired by the most glamorous beach destinations and a lifelong love of travel, but moreover, she wants you to feel good when you hit the sunbed hence her brand name stands for CAring, HAppy, CAsual, POsitive.
She strongly believes that swimwear confidence comes from the fit so she has done plenty of research and chose a sustainable Italian fabric before letting her internationally renowned team piece them together into functional and comfortable must-haves for your next day out in the sun.
Caha Capo’s debut collection – available in sizes 6-16 (in the coming months this will expand to a size 18) – consists of mix and match bikinis, flattering swimsuits, resort wear and accessories in 11 bespoke colourways – think tan-enhancing coral or classic navy.
Split into two distinct categories – fashion and essentials – the core swimwear collection offers a wide variety of styles, support and coverage for every body type, whether a triangle style in a fashion-forward print is your go-to or a classic one-piece from the essential line is your comfort zone.
To give you even more flexibility, bikinis are sold as a set or separates so you can mix and match sizes and finishes to find your perfect little number.
Signature styles to look out for, including the Donna One Piece that balances a supportive structure with uber flattering cut-out detailing, and the Aidy and Cherie Set. The Aidy top is a bandeau style with a V-wire providing the ultimate in versatile bikini tops, while the Cherie bottoms offer the classic tie-side option, ready to be adjusted for your perfect fit.
There is also an adorable Mini Capo line to discover that caters to kids aged 3-12.
Women’s one-pieces start from Dhs650 and women’s bikini sets start from Dhs675. All the pieces are available now online or you can shop them at Dawson Sports in Mercato Mall with Mall of the Emirates boutique opening later this year.
